Tokyo Japanese Steak House: Experience Authentic Hibachi and Sushi Delights in Braintree, MA

Soon as I walk in I was greeted then seated. My order was then taken. I had the volcano sushi rolls they had a light spice to them nothing no one can't handle. For my drink u had a Pina Colada I took a sip and could taste the Alcohol. Food my main dish u had the chicken steak white rice and mixed vegetables. Every things is made right in front of you..

Not sure why this restaurant is rated low, but wow! The food is fantastic, the waitress super attentative, and the music tops it off ( old school with asian language) I did choose to be on the regular side with shabu and not the hibachi side, maybe that is a difference. But food quality, portion, and service is fantastic!!! Kimchi and szchuan, will for sure visit again when I'm in town.

Always busy when we go there; even during the week! But we always get a table. Service is good. The servers take orders and get the food out just as fast. We’ve always had to flag them down after our food arrives, they just seem to disappear. We always do hot pot, I have never tried hibachi from there but it’s always busy on that side as well. I find it odd that they calculate 18% of gratuity and manually write it in. I mean I guess it’s helpful. Even so after they swipe my card then receipt doesn’t even offer a tip section. It’s just a bit weird to me. The bathroom isn’t the cleanest, some doors doesn’t even lock. OH AND THEY HAVE BABY KOI FISHES lol.

I've been here twice with my boyfriend. Both times we had a lot of fun experiencing the immersive Hibachi. The only true criticism I have is that the people that are seated with you at the station can really make or break your overall experience as far as atmosphere goes. Service is overall fair and the hibachi chef's are always entertaining. Experience can vary greatly on the Chef too. The portions are large and I always have some to take home. I always get some kind of surf and turf mix. Parking is available onsite. Location is very close to the mall so provides a convenient indoor walking spot after for the cold months.

The atmosphere is lively and fun. I’ve only ever ordered hibachi. The hibachi steak and shrimp are flavorful. I always get noodles which I enjoy and the vegetables are delicious. The hibachi chefs are always friendly and accommodating. I didn’t realize that the tip on the bill is for the waitress and not the hibachi chef - so keep that in mind.

Ive been coming here for 15 years, everything has stayed fantastic! I love their sushi and hotpot. They have an amazing kimchi and miso broth for hotpot. Their lamb and salmon portions a la cart are excellent!!!

We hadn’t visited Tokyo Japanese Steak House in a while, so we were pleasantly surprised by the changes. The restaurant has definitely been refreshed — it looks and feels much cleaner, more modern, and better organized. From the moment we walked in, we noticed the difference — the host stand was tidy, the waiting area was clean, and the whole place had a fresh feel without losing its character. We came specifically to try the sushi after hearing good things, and we weren’t disappointed. The sushi was beautifully arranged, tasted incredibly fresh, and had great balance in every bite. We had the Rainbow Roll, Eel Avocado Roll, and a few pieces of salmon sashimi. The quality was excellent, and it didn’t feel like an afterthought — it felt like a real focus of the restaurant now. It’s great to see a business reinvest in itself and continue to offer better food and experiences. The sushi addition was a smart move and complements their hibachi perfectly.

It was a pleasant stop before shopping. Went in for Hibachi. We all got the steak with shrimp sampler. For us, the soup and salad is a must so we go with the dinner portion. She gets sushi to split with the Boy, so idk but... I get gyoza pan fried, Szechuan sauce.. I like saying that... Spelling it not so much... Great mango smoothie!! Blue Hawaiian was delish. I wasn't too happy about paying $4 extra per plate for "Coca Cola" rice instead of white rice. Kinda nuts... But it was good food, fast service, very nice staff.
